MGNREGA opennew opportunities for women across the country. The scheme encourages higherparticipation of women by giving priority to women in such a way that at leastone-third (33.3) percent of the beneficiaries shall be women who haveregistered and requested for work under the scheme. However, it is found thatto encourage greater women participation, it is important to classify clear cutdivision of labour between men and women.
