PC BASED GAUGING SYSTEM USING ARM MICROCONTROLLER

Abstract

Abstract: This system provides dimensionalmeasurement of machined automobile components.  The system is based on the field of Metrologywhich has numerous industrial applications dealing with machined parts.  Another exclusive feature provided by thissystem is the SPC analysis. This includes live plotting of various statisticalgraphs such as Run chart, Individual chart, Moving Range chart and histograms,for each dimension.  Basic parameterssuch as standard deviation (), process capability(Cp) and process capability index (Cpk) assume a great importance whencategorization of any process as capable or stable is considered.
