IMPROVED EXPONENTIAL PRODUCT TYPE ESTIMATORS OFFINITE POPULATION MEAN  

Abstract

Abstract:In this papersome improved exponential product type estimators have been suggested forestimating finite population mean using auxiliary information under simplerandom sampling without replacement when there exists a negative correlationbetween the study and auxiliary variable. The performance of the estimators arestudied both theoretically and empirically with mean per unit estimator, productestimator suggested by Robson [2] and Murthy [3] and exponential product typeestimator suggested by Bahl and Tuteja [4].
