STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS OF HELICOPTER ROTOR BLADEUSING COMPOSITE MATERIAL IN ANSYS

Abstract

Abstract:- The Helicopters H225 is a long-range passenger helicopter that is a twin-engined helicopter and it carries up to 24passengers. It has five rotor blades. In this using composite material in rotor blades gives effective thrust production and itsstrength increase life of the material and the efficiency of the helicopter. Here, the two different materials were comparedsuchas Aluminium alloy and EPOXY CARBON UD 395 (Gpa) PREPREG. The helicopter rotor blades of both materials weredesigned by using CATIA V5 and it is analyzed by using ANSYS static structural. The result shows the composite material(Carbon epoxy) having good material property than aluminum alloy. The stress levels were reduced in composite material, thisshows the strength of this material is efficient. As a result, the composite materials having higher ability to withstand morestresses, strain and lesser sensitive to total deformation.
