Abstract

Abstract:-The Internet revolutionized the structure of the tourist sector by drastically altering optimal operational and strategic practices. Attempts to investigate these developments using Porter's industry analysis approach. It identifies how the Internet has altered the five forces and the competitive stance of each significant actor, as well as how the tourist sector is structured. Data were obtained using exploratory qualitative approaches and analyzed using content analysis. The findings revealed the strategic influence of the internet on tourism suppliers such as hotels and airlines, as well as middlemen such as travel agencies and tour operators. According to the study, the rivalry has grown considerably, and negotiating power of both buyers (consumers) and providers (principals) has increased as a result of their capacity to communicate directly at the expense of the intermediary role.
