ANALYSIS OF G+7 BUILDING IN ALL ZONES OFINDIA USING E-TABS

Abstract

Abstract - Increase in the occurrence of natural disasters due to climatic changes there is an increase in urge to design thestructures for lateral loads so that there will be less loss of property and human lives due to such disasters. Thedestructive powers such disasters even though cannot be fully predicted but considering few changes in thecharacteristics can help in reducing the higher losses. Out of all the disasters earthquakes have large impact onstructures if they are not properly designed considering these types of forces. As the height of the structure increases theeffects of the earthquake forces also increase. So consideration of these kind a lateral forces are important. As there isdrastic increase in population growth throughout the world and increase in no. of people moving towards the metrocities have caused to increase the heights of the structure rapidly. So in this work an attempt has been made to study theeffects of only earthquake load as lateral load and considering dead and live load on G + 7 multistoried building framehaving each story of 3 m height. Study of base shear, drift and displacement in both direction in different zones presentin india using sixth revision of IS 1893.
