Abstract: The technologyof augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) has advanced quickly inrecent years, AR is a human-computer technology combined with merging computerapplication of computer vision, graphics, image processing, sensor technologyand displaying technology presented on the basis of virtual reality. VR is anew style which human operate visually on the complex data by computer.Compared with Traditional human-computer interface, VR has a qualitative leapin technology thought. The reality of VR is anything or environment existed inthe world in physical meaning or functional meaning in general, which can betrue in factual or may not come true and even can’t come true. AR is presentedfrom VR. Generally speaking, the two technologies are the common root, whichboth include the areas of computer vision, graphics, image processing, sensortechnology, displaying technology and human-computer interaction technology.They have many similarities and correlations. Firstly, they both have thevirtual information computer generated. Secondly, they both need users to usehelmets or similar display equipment so that can demonstrate virtual realitygenerated by computer before users. Once more, users need to exchange andinteract timely by relative appliances and virtual information. AR applicationused in aerospace, medical, film and television entertainment, manufacturingand especially in the field ofmilitary system.
