Abstract

Abstract: In the recent past Electrical andElectronic sector has witnessed remarkable progression and is considered as theleading drivers of economic expansion around the globe. There has beensignificant increase in Information Technology industry in the last 10 years inboth developed and developing countries. This growth, united with fast growingproduct obsolescence and consumer options, has carved way to Electronic waste. Thisescalating waste has very intricate properties which require an multifaceted setof effectual technology and practices to manage it. The paper provides a terse overview of minimization ofe-waste using green technology. Challenges faced in current Indian scenario isbeing discussed and remedial measures are suggested.
